How to travel with dogs by plane through DOG TRAVELS?
Having your dog travel with DOG TRAVELS is very easy and can be achieved in a very short time. Below we explain the step-by-step process to ensure that your furry friend travels safely and comfortably.
Below we explain the 6 simple steps with which we can ensure that your dog travels with you on the plane, regardless of its size, weight and breed.
1. Select your service dog certificate package
Choose the travel assistance package that best suits your needs.
2. Provide your and your dog’s details.
Enter all the necessary information about you, your dog and your trip.
3. Review information and payment
We will review your information and, once approved, proceed with payment.
4. Receive your documents
You will receive all required documents by mail. Your dog will also be registered online.
5. Assistance with flight booking.
After you have booked your ticket, we will contact the airline to register your service dog for the flight.
6. Assistance on the day of travel.
On the day of your trip, we will be there to help you with any complications or last-minute needs.
Can you travel with large dogs weighing more than 10 kilos on a plane?
Do you have a large dog and don’t know if you’ll be able to fly? Find your dog’s requirements according to the weight and size of your dog here.
Emotional support dogs
They are dogs that accompany their owner due to an emotional condition.
- Weight: If they weigh up to 10 kg (including the container), they can fly in the cabin. If they weigh up to 70 kg (including the container), they must fly in the hold.
- Container: For the cabin, you need a flexible container (55x35x25 cm). And for the hold, a rigid container.
- Quantity: You can fly with a maximum of one (1) emotional support dog.
Service dogs
They are dogs with training in specialized and certified centers.
- Weight: Service dogs are accepted regardless of their weight or size, as long as they can be placed without obstructing evacuation in the cabin.
- Container: They do not require the use of a container to be transported in the cabin.
- Quantity: Up to two (2) service dogs may fly per passenger.
